Eight islands, one plan
DAMAC Islands 2 continues the island community DAMAC Properties began in Dubailand, and the developer names eight places it has drawn the districts from, listed here in alphabetical order: Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Cuba, Maui, Mauritius and Tahiti. The master community is published at 20 million square feet. Alongside the island names DAMAC sets out five pillars it says shape the design brief, covering nature, wellness, adventure, social life and culture, and the amenity list reads as an attempt to give each of those a physical place rather than a paragraph.
That amenity list is unusually long for a villa community. The developer describes a tranquil lake with an eco park of zen gardens, a whispering waterfall with dining beside it and a yoga deck, a botanic garden with butterflies and tropical birds, a wellness quarter built around a healing spa and herb gardens, and a sky woods adventure of canopy walks and a treehouse park. It also lists eco lodges built into the landscape, with farm-to-table dining and pools it describes as organic, a garden of insight given over to art and sculpture, an explorers' land with an observation deck, and a solar link park laid out for e-scooters.
The homes are villas, twin villas and townhouses. DAMAC's published answer names four and five-bedroom villas, six-bedroom villas with a maid's room, and five-bedroom townhouses with a maid's room; the data panel shows four and five-bedroom homes over 2,186 to 3,159 sq ft. On price it is not consistent either: the headline panel carries AED 2,990,000 with an asterisk, the page description quotes AED 2.75 million, and the record behind both opens at AED 3,329,000 and runs to AED 4,624,000, against a delivery date of 30 June 2030. Enquiries go to Wincasa Properties, an authorised sales partner and not the builder; the sale and purchase agreement is with DAMAC Properties; and instalments are paid into the project's escrow account under Dubai Land Department rules, never to the broker.
